Job Description

Play a key role in supporting Council's projects and services by ensuring contracts are effectively managed, compliant, and delivering value for the community. This position offers the opportunity to work across a range of projects while contributing to continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

This is a 9 month, fixed term maternity leave position with remuneration at a level 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of contracts, ensuring compliance with Council policies, legislative requirements, and industry best practice.
  • Drive efficient contract administration processes by consulting with Council staff to develop, maintain, and continuously improve tendering and contract management systems and procedures.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement to support successful project outcomes.
  • Provide insightful reporting and analysis on contract performance, key metrics, and compliance activities to inform strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure contractual obligations are met and projects are delivered effectively.
  • Provide expert advice to support Council staff to meet the requirements of the procurement policy and associated procedures
  • Support Council's commitment to accountability and governance through robust contract management and record-keeping practices.

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in related discipline
